Mirage – Part 2: Infrastructure & Installation
Summary of OS Requirements: Mirage server components require Windows 2008 R2+ with domain membership. Reference machine can be XP SP2+, Windows 7, or Windows 8.1.
Summary of Software requirements: Mirage clients, Servers, and Console requires NET 3.5 SP1. For Mirage servers, the portal requires IIS 7.0 + with IIS6 Compatibility, and ASP.NET feature. And lastly, management console requires MMC 3.0+.

Installation steps include:
- Mirage Management Server
- Mirage Server
- Mirage File Portal
- Mirage Management Console
- Connect Console to server
- Mirage Gateway Server
Installing Management Server
The Mirage Management server controls and manages a Mirage server or Mirage server cluster .
On the Mirage Management Server Run the installer called mirage.management.server.Build#.
Click Next and Install to finish the installation.
Installing Mirage Server
The Mirage server manages desktop images in the DC and manages uploads and downloads between DC and endpoints.
On the Mirage Server, run mirage.server.build#
and click Install.
Mirage File Portal
The Mirage file portal provides an HTML user interface for users and administrators to access user files and CVDs. Mirage file portal is installed on the Mirage server. You must install Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 or later for the file portal. The Mirage file portal requires Windows authentication on the SQL server.
Mirage Management Console
Connecting To Mirage Server
Systems Settings can be found by right clicking. Configure it per your requirements.
Mirage Web Manager:
IT help desk users can use the Mirage Web Manager to respond to
service queries, and Protection Manager users can use the Web
Manager to ensure that user devices are protected
Run client installer on the reference machine and end point client
Once install completes restart the PC. After re-logging, check system tray status of mirage, wait till it becomes “pending assignment”
While status windows is open, you can hit CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+S to open Configıration utility
For testing purpose, change scan speed to full, and restart……
CREATE A NEW REFERENCE CVD
Create new Reference CVD
CAPTURE A BASE LAYER FROM THE REFERENCE MACHINE
ASSIGN A BASE LAYER TO A VIRTUAL MACHINE
Click on centralize Endpoint
